Nigel Da Costa, Co-Founder
Da Costa is an entrepreneur with a particular focus in developing, growing and monetizing digital and mobile properties. Prior to co-founding Health Media Today, he worked at agencies such as Publicis, Insight Sports and Kaboose. Da Costa is also a co-founder of The Spectator Tribune and Parksandplay.com
Chris Bannister, Co-Founder
Chris has been working in the eCommerce industry and developing websites with a focus on SEO for the last 10+ years. His background in health studies (B.Sc., Specialized Honours in Bio-Medical science, Univerisy of Guelph) inspired him to create a wellness-focused network of websites.
Advisory Board
Jonathan Graff, CEO & Director Enthrive
Jonathan Graff is the co-founder and CEO of Enthrive Inc. He previously served as the President of Kaboose Inc. (former TSX:KAB) from 2003 until the end of 2008 and thereafter as the Vice Chairman until the sale of the business to Disney and Barclay’s Private Equity in June 2009. Kaboose was the largest independent family focused online media company in North America and the leading parenting club in United Kingdom, operating under the Bounty brand. Kaboose consistently ranked as one of the top-five most visited family destinations online and remains a key partner in assisting in helping expecting and new parents.
Jonathan is also the former Co-President and Director of Benecaid Health Benefit Solutions Inc. and a former Director of Cover FX Cosmetics Inc.
Jonathan is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the Baycrest Foundation and sits on the advisory committee of Sticker You Inc. He is a volunteer mentor at the MaRS business Discovery District for Internet entrepreneurs and a mentor for business students in the INVP program at the Richard Ivey School of Business. He has been a member of the Toronto chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) since 2006.
Ahmad M. Zbib - M.D. CPHIMS-CA
A non-clinician physician and Intra-preneur passionate about putting technology to meaningful use in healthcare. He currently manages the Consumer eHealth portfolio at the Heart and Stroke Foundation, a suite of online and mobile health tools which is based on the science of behavior change.
This suite includes the Heart&Stroke Risk Assessment, The Heart&Stroke Blood Pressure Action Plan, the Heart&Stroke Healthy Weight Action Plan and the <30 Days mobile app.
Adam Cole
Adam Cole has been an executive, senior manager and advisor to some of the world's most exciting companies. Adam started his own successful healthcare IT consultancy out of university and quickly grew it to over fifteen employees based on a reputation of delighting his customers.
Currently, as Director Healthcare Ecosystems at Coral CEA, Adam is attempting to make a dent in the healthcare universe by channeling the passion and innovation of healthtech entrepreneurs. Previously Adam has been Vice President of Information Technology at CCTN (Canadian Clinical Trial Network) where he was integral in building a world-class clinical research organization from scratch; and CTO & Director IS at Phase 4 Health where he played an instrumental role in an acquisition by McKesson, where Adam stayed on as Director of Specialty Technology Solutions.
Adam has won many awards including an international ComputerWorld Smithsonian Honors Laureate (via a nomination by Michael Cappellas, President of Compaq Global), first place in the annual Kinetic Process Innovation Awards, awards in innovation, financial contribution, and customer service (Adam's department scored 100% on the Customer Satisfaction Survey, a first in McKesson history, the world's largest healthcare company), and IT Professional of the year. Adam is involved on boards/advisor to life science, technology, and education organizations.
Deborah Hall - Head of Mobile, Torstar Digital
Named by Mobile Marketer as one of the Mobile Women to Watch in 2010, Deb has made it her mission to take our online experiences from the desktop to the mobile device. Her visionary leadership in mobile product development and strategic marketing has made her a sought-after speaker and collaborator in the North American mobile technology industry. Deborah has helped shape the digital and mobile marketing space in Canada, as chairperson of 3 consecutive Digital Day conferences for Marketing Magazine and the CMA. Her team has won several industry awards across North America for their breakthrough work in mobile, recognized by the Mobile Marketing Association (2012 awards) and Marketing Magazine (2011 Gold & Silver).
Prior to founding Web2mobile, Deborah worked at Yahoo! in Sunnyvale, California & Publicis and Rare Medium in both New York and Toronto.
Corey Russell - President/Executive Producer
As President of Fadoo, Corey Russell is responsible for the development and business management of all production projects, including co-production relationships, financing and international distribution.
Prior to Fadoo, Corey worked in all facets of the television industry. He began as a Producer of sports magazine shows, including “The Business of Sports with Bob McCown” at Rogers Sportsnet and TSN. Over the years he has also produced live sports and news, and interviewed some of the biggest names in sport as a feature producer. In the past few years, he was Head of Programming & Production for GolTV, WFN and GameTV. During this time, he created and developed a variety of shows from different genres, including Canada’s first live and interactive game show, reality television series and international travel series.
